A specialized top-mounted spool holder designed for flexible (TPU) and highly brittle (CF30, GF30, Fluorescent) filaments. Standard filament paths with sharp bends often cause these materials to snap or jam. This hanger is mounted above the printer (e.g., under a shelf), allowing the filament to feed directly down into the extruder with a minimal, gentle curve.

• Inspiration: Solves feeding issues on printers like the Qidi Q2 where the stock filament path is too restrictive for fragile or specialty materials.
• Printing Requirements:
  • Material: PETG or ABS (recommended for structural strength).
  • Infill: 15%.
  • Supports: None required.
  • Orientation: Print all parts lying flat on the bed.
• Hardware Needed:
  • An aluminum or 3D-printed tube (Diameter: 20mm, length: 115mm).
  • Superglue (Cyanoacrylate) for assembly.

Assembly & Installation

1. Tube: If using an aluminum tube, glue the "plug" (probka.stl) components into the ends using superglue.
2. Mounting: Screw the base plate to a shelf or wall approximately 65–70cm above the printer.
3. Alignment: Position it so the filament hangs straight down into the center of the printer/extruder head.
4. Safety Design: Mount the hooks facing backward. This ensures that the rotation of the spool pulls the axle deeper into the hook notch rather than pushing it out.
5. Usage: Disconnect the reverse-bowden tube from the extruder before use to allow the filament to feed directly from above.
