1. Project Overview:

This is a 3D-printed model that faithfully recreates a historic building based on on-site measurements. The prototype is the Former Site of the German Navy Club in Qingdao, China, also known as the Waterworks Hotel Ruins.

Construction began in 1899 and was completed in 1902, making it one of the earliest examples of German-style architecture in Qingdao and a quintessential representation of the German Neo-Renaissance architectural style. Beyond its role as a witness to a century of historical change, the building’s distinctive asymmetrical layout, soaring spire-topped towers, and red-tiled gabled roof have secured its place in architectural history.

2. Model Features:

• High Fidelity: The model accurately reproduces iconic details such as the Waterworks Hotel’s unique towers, attics, stone-base brick walls, and the second-floor colonial-style wooden columned exterior frame.
• Print Optimization: The model has been optimized for 3D printing.
