Yuri Sakazaki is a female character from SNK’s fighting games “Art of Fighting” and “The King of Fighters.” She is the daughter of Takuma Sakazaki, the founder of Extreme Style Karate, and the younger sister of Ryo Sakazaki. Since the first installment of “Art of Fighting,” when Yuri was abducted by Mr. Big and later rescued by King, her older brother Ryo has served as her surrogate mentor, teaching her Extreme Style Karate; she also has a devoted follower named Robert Garcia. Although Yuri is a practitioner of Extreme Style, she appears more frequently as a member of the “Female Fighter Team” in the “The King of Fighters” series. In “The King of Fighters ’94,” she teams up with King and Mai Shiranui to make her debut as part of the Female Fighter Team.
