I made a large chess board in my high school woodworking class and I've always wanted to make the large chess pieces out of solid metal. After manty years I have finally made them out of solid copper. The 16 solid copper pieces weigh 141 LBS. First, I designed and 3-d printed the set out of PLA then I made them out of copper. I've got a video over on YT just look for “handsome or handy copper chess set”
