This model includes a set of molds designed for recycling cardboard spools into functional paper products, These molds simplify the recycling process and allow users to customize their paper with materials like dried flower petals, seeds for plantable sheets, biodegradable glitter, and foil. This eco-friendly approach promotes sustainability by repurposing cardboard waste into unique handcrafted items, making it ideal for crafting, educational purposes, or community workshops. Overall, these molds combine creativity and environmental awareness in the art of paper-making.
The process of using the 3D molds to recycle cardboard spools begins with soaking the cardboard in water. This step softens the fibers, making them easier to break down. Once adequately soaked, the cardboard is blended into a pulp. Next, the pulp is pressed into the chosen mold you then squeeze both sides of the mold, to expel as much excess water as possible. After removing excess water, place the mold onto a piece of fabric, then carefully flip it over and gently bang it to release the molded paper from the form. Once the paper is out, it is important to leave it in the sun to dry thoroughly, allowing it to harden and maintain its shape. This straightforward yet rewarding process not only transforms waste into art but also fosters a hands-on understanding of recycling and creativity.
