Welcome to my new project! This vase is a tribute to the clean, functional aesthetic of Scandinavian design. Continuing my exploration of spiral forms, I wanted to create an object that is both simple and visually striking.
The design is based on the contrast between two distinct elements:
A sinuous base with elegant spiral ribs that catch the light, creating a fascinating sense of movement.
A cylindrical top, featuring a delicate texture that adds a material feel and contrasts beautifully with the fluidity of the base.
This vase is perfect for those seeking a minimalist decor piece with a strong personality. It fits beautifully in any setting, either as a standalone decorative sculpture or to hold your favorite flowers.
Print Profiles and Sizes:
To offer you maximum flexibility, I've prepared two main print profiles. Each profile includes 4 print plates, allowing you to create the vase in different heights: 120 mm, 180 mm, 250 mm, and 300 mm. This way, you can choose the perfect size for your space!
Decorative Profile (Vase Mode):
Use: Ideal for a fast print and purely decorative purposes. Lightweight and elegant.
Key Settings: Print in Spiral Vase Mode for a clean, seamless finish.
Functional Profile (Double Wall with Fuzzy Finish):
Use: If you're looking for a solid and functional vase, this profile is for you. Thanks to its two walls, it is sturdy and watertight, perfect for holding water for fresh flowers.
Key Settings: I have applied the "Fuzzy" skin finish only to the top section of the vase, creating a unique textural contrast and a very interesting artistic touch.
General Printing Recommendations:
Layer Height: 0.2 mm.
Line Width: 0.6 mm (recommended with a 0.4 mm nozzle for stronger walls).
Speed: 40-50 mm/s for greater precision on both profiles.
Material: The photos were taken with a white Matte PLA, which is ideal for enhancing the shapes and texture without reflections.
