Xiaomi’s valve core–style fidget spinner has been redesigned with a new button mechanism, featuring an optimized size and a built‑in base that allows for the installation of mechanical keyboard switches.

Switch Recommendations:

1. The model does not include mechanical keyboard switches—these must be purchased separately. Based on my personal testing, both clicky switches and silent switches deliver excellent sound performance (both tactile and linear switches work well too). I personally love them all—feel free to choose according to your own preferences: if you prefer a crisp, bright sound, go for clicky tactile switches like the青轴; if you’re after a more subdued, grounded tone, consider black/red switches. Just head over to Taobao or Pinduoduo to snag some affordable options.

2. Please use standard cross‑shaped switches—switches with dust‑proof edges may be difficult to install or could result in inconsistent key clicks.

Installation Tips:

1. Be sure to trim off the four long, slender protrusions inside the cap.

2. Pay close attention to the installation orientation: the cross‑shaped structure features one longer side that corresponds to the long edge of the switch. We recommend first assembling the top cap with the switch without attaching the base—once you’ve confirmed that the cap pops up smoothly after assembly, you can then secure it onto the base.

3. If the fit isn’t quite right, feel free to slightly enlarge or fill in any gaps—but if the issue persists despite your adjustments, we suggest tweaking the compensation settings. Sorry about that!

Material Selection:

I tested printing with PLA; PETG has not yet been evaluated. If you encounter issues such as oversized or undersized holes, please adjust the hole compensation settings accordingly.
