Ugly Plankton is back - and this time, he’s louder, simpler, and easier to build than ever.

This new version of the Ugly Plankton meme box ditches the ESP32 setup and uses a plug-and-play sound module, making the build way more beginner-friendly while still keeping that glorious scream on demand.

What’s New in V2.0

1. No ESP32 Required – No coding, no flashing, no deep sleep modes. Just drop in the sound module, upload the mp3 file to the sound module, connect the battery, and you’re done.
    
2. Sound Module Integration – The case has a dedicated mount for the sound module, plus cutouts for:
   
   -USB-C charging port
   -On/Off switch
   -Volume control buttons
    
3. Simpler Assembly – The sound module and speaker can be held in place using the included double-sided tape, or secured with M2x4mm screws for extra sturdiness.
    
4. All-in-One Solution - The module already comes with a button and speaker and double-sided tape, making sourcing parts super easy.

How It Works

Press the button, and Plankton lets out his iconic "AUUUGH" scream - perfect for when words just aren’t enough.

Parts Needed

• Sound Module (with included speaker + button + 3.7V LiPo Battery)
• Optional: M2x4mm screws (for a more secure mount)
• Double-sided tape (included with the sound module)

Installation:

1.  Hot glue the key button to the lid as shown below.
   
   
    
2. Apply double sided tapes to these areas (Double sided tape is included in the package).
   
   
    
3. Place the Sound Module and Speaker.
   
   
    
4. Close the lid and screw in the plankton.
    
   
    
5. Enjoy your plankton!

Print settings:

Lid: Auto-orientation and Tree supports are required.

Main Case: no Supports are required.

Plankton: 5 walls. 5% - 15% infill. Tree supports are required. Add modifier only to the plankton and select "make overhangs printable" option. 3mf file is now available.
