Arc Angel X5

The Arc Angel X5 is a towering three-meter prototype mecha, designed as a one-of-a-kind weapon system under the secretive Program Arclight. Unlike standard Alliance mechs, the X5 is not mass-produced nor modular: it is a bespoke war machine crafted for perfect synchronization with its pilot, Nami, the Carbon Alliance’s first fully integrated neural operator.

Sleek but heavily armored, the Arc Angel X5 combines agility with overwhelming force. Equipped with advanced jump capabilities, it can traverse battlefield terrain with speed that belies its size, closing distances in an instant or evading concentrated enemy fire. Deep inside its hull, counter weights actuate with every movement, negating inertial momentum from rapid movement, impacts and shocks to its alloy frame. 

Its melee systems consist of monomolecular carbon strings built into its forearms, are capable of carving through even the hardened carapace of the Threat’s beetle and drone strains. For ranged combat, the X5 wields modular kinetic weaponry, chambered to fire both high-velocity anti-infantry rounds and heavy penetrators designed to pierce even cybernetic exoskeletal armor.

At its heart, however, is not just engineering but the human-machine bond that makes it unique. Nami, whose body was rebuilt after her family’s death during an early Threat incursion, was chosen as the living core of the Arc Angel project. 

Her nervous system and body was enhanced with carbon and silicon implants: it allows her to act as a direct neural interface, making the X5 more than a machine. It is an extension of her will and her vengeance

The Arc Angel X5 was the culmination of the Alliance’s philosophy under Carbon Aegis: that survival against the Threat would not come through numbers alone, but through innovation, sacrifice, and the fusion of human spirit with advanced technology. In many ways, Nami herself represents the Alliance’s creed; resilience forged from tragedy, humanity reborn into steel, carrying the weight of mankind’s survival on the frontlines.
