Here is a simple Yarn Holder design. For the rotation mechanism, it's designed to be used with a 608zz type wheel bearing (the go to size for most people).
If using STL's, use supports for the shaft in the top section. Use a modifier near the beginning of the stem with many more walls / infill amount to help increase strength.


The 3MF file is an example with a modifier. This file also includes a name that you can change to customise it for whoever you're making it for (simple click the D33DOz on the top section and change the text/size).

 

Freecad file included incase anyone would like to re-mix.
