Description:

A (mostly) flush cap to fill in the hole left behind if you remove the spool holder on the Elegoo Centauri Carbon.

Inspiration:

After replacing the filament spool holder on my recently acquired Elegoo Centauri Carbon with a filament dryer, I wanted a simple piece to fill in the hole left behind - mostly to make it look better, but also to keep the fumes from leaking out. There were only two prints I could find, both sticking out from the printer more than I'd like, so I decided to make my own!

Remix:

Basically, I used a popular spool holder replacement designed by pascal_lb as the base (I didn't feel like modeling the screw-in part from scratch), cut off the spool-holding rod, and added a concave knob to twist it on or off.

Printing:

It can be printed in basically any filament using default settings in around 10 minutes - the overhang is small enough that it shouldn't require supports. I printed mine in PLA since it wouldn't be dealing with much heat (and it was all I had ATM), but to each their own!
