Vino Crack - Suspended Wine Holder

Embrace the raw beauty of fracture with Vino Crack, a suspended wine holder built around a single sculptural gesture: a hand that cantilevers over the table edge and holds a full bottle in horizontal balance, while every inch of its surface carries a dense network of cracks. The pose is gravity-defying, the finish is anything but polished. The fractures flow from the wrist to the fingertips, sculpted directly into the model and left raw, the way a ceramic piece looks the moment it shatters.

Design & Concept

I designed Vino Crack as a meditation on what we choose to hide. Years of iteration in my own work taught me to smooth print lines, hide seams, polish everything until the labor disappears. With this piece I went the other way. Every fracture across the hand is sculpted directly into the model and printed in matte from base to fingertip, the cracks arriving by design rather than by accident. No paint, no inlay, no repair. The break is the finish, full stop.

Key Features

Raw Fracture Finish: A dense network of cracks runs across the entire surface, sculpted into the model and left unrepaired. The break is the only ornament.
Solid Sculpture: Body and fractures are sculpted into one continuous form, ready to print in a single matte filament from base to fingertip.
Gravity-Defying Pose: The hand cantilevers off its base and suspends a full bottle horizontally, as if it were floating over the table edge.
Any Matte Filament: Prints cleanly in matte white as shown in the photos, or in any matte PLA that lets the fracture pattern catch shadow.
Functional Sculpture: A working wine holder when there is a bottle on it, a conversation piece the rest of the time.
Symbolic Resonance: A piece about accepting what breaks, leaving the seams open instead of hiding them, the deliberate choice not to repair.

Printing Recommendations

• Body Material: Matte PLA in white as shown in the photos, or any matte tone of your choice. Single color throughout.
