Designed for convenience, these hinges feature a print-in-place design that requires no assembly — the hinge mechanism is fully functional straight off the build plate, saving you time and effort.

Printing Instructions

Print Settings:

• Use your standard print profile
• No supports required
• Material: Any standard filament (PLA, PETG, ABS, etc.)
• Layer height, infill, and speed: Standard settings work fine

Note: The display model was printed in PLA, but material choice won't affect functionality.

Post-Print Setup

Opening the Hinges:

1. Locate the hinge pivot point on the printed part
2. Grip near the hinge area (this is important for leverage and to avoid breaking the part)
3. Apply gentle pressure to begin separating the hinge
4. Gradually increase pressure until the hinge opens fully
5. Work the hinge back and forth a few times to break it in

Optional Cleanup:

• Some excess material may be present on the gear teeth from the printing process
• Use flush cutters or a hobby knife to carefully clip away any material that interferes with smooth operation
• Test the hinge movement and trim as needed for optimal function

Installation

Required Hardware:

• 8x M3x6 screws

Steps:

1. Remove the stock hinges from your Elegoo Centauri Carbon door
2. Install the new 270° hinges in their place using the M3x6 screws
3. Test the door movement through its full range of motion
4. Enjoy your new hinges! You're set up and ready to go!
