The Greek gods had it easy; they didn't have to deal with spool anxiety. This Atlas carries the true burden: a 1kg filament roll. 🧵
Perfect desk decor for the workshop. I've tested it in various sizes and materials—matte gray looks like a real statue, and white or marble really pops. You'll need some tree supports for the arms and the spool base, but it’s a straightforward print.
Standard height of the model in print profiles is 80mm
Recommended Print Settings
To get the best results (like the ones seen in the photos), I recommend the following:
- Material: PLA
- Supports: Tree Supports are highly recommended
- Layer Height: Use 0.12mm or 0.16mm to capture the intricate details of the anatomy and the spool texture.
- Infill: 10-15% (Gyroid) provides plenty of strength without wasting material.
- Take your time with support removal to prevent breaking.
