Recently I played a version of these games on a Christmas party. They just used a paper to draw the lines and some coins to move around.

As it's a fun game a made a travel sized version to print.

Print & Assembly Instructions

Boards, buttons and inlays are straight forward to print with standard settings, simply pick a colour and go. Only the lock is kind of fine to make it somewhat flexible. Therefore you need to set raft to 1 layer.

Depending on the margins of the printer the inlays will lock into place perfectly. If not, use a bit of glue.

How to play:

Felli-like (5-piece variant)

Players: 2

Pieces: 5 pieces per player

Board: Two triangles facing each other, sharing one central point. Each player controls the six points on their own triangle; the central point is shared.

Setup

  • Each player places 5 pieces on their side of the board.
  • The shared central point starts empty.

Movement

  • Players take turns.
  • A piece may move one step along a drawn line to an adjacent empty point.
  • Movement may be straight or diagonal, as indicated by the board.

Capture

  • If a piece can jump over an adjacent opponent piece along a line to an empty point beyond, the jump is allowed.
  • The jumped piece is removed.
  • Multiple jumps in a single turn are allowed.

Win Condition

You win if:

  • You capture all opponent pieces, or
  • Your opponent has no legal moves remaining.

Crossing Game

Players: 2

Pieces: 3 pieces per player

Board: Each player has a grid of 2 rows × 3 columns (6 points).

The two middle points of the central row are connected, forming a bridge between both sides.

Setup

  • Each player places their 3 pieces side by side on the row closest to them.

Objective

  • Be the first player to move all 3 of your pieces to the opponent’s starting row.

Movement

  • Players take turns.
  • A piece may move one step to an adjacent connected point, if it is empty.

Blocking Rule (Anti-Stalemate Rule - Optional)

  • A player may not move the same piece back to the position it occupied in the previous turn.
  • This rule prevents endless back-and-forth blocking.

Winning

  • The first player who has all three pieces on the far row wins.
