Three-Color Battle Gyro:
No hardware required; classic color scheme; printed in separate parts
Low center of gravity, with a wear-resistant and durable tip that spins effortlessly for 2 minutes
Simple assembly; two launching methods
Tools required:
Deburring pliers: used to remove supports
Glue: used for assembling the color-separated prints
Launching methods:
1. Launcher without lid: Simply snap the launcher’s gear into the gyro’s gear, and the launcher will spin along with the gyro (though I personally think this detracts from the gyro’s aesthetic appeal, so I recommend the second method instead). See the image below for the effect.
2. Launcher with lid: The latch on the launcher must be snug—neither too loose nor too tight—so that the gyro can land after the rack has fully extended (this is somewhat tricky to get just right). You can also tilt the launcher slightly to reduce the likelihood of it falling off. See the image below for the effect.
