📸 The Echolens Kickstarter camera is a fun device that blends analog and digital photography. By design, it’s a very minimal camera and doesn’t include a filter holder or any similar accessories, so I decided to create one.

I’ve separated the design into two parts: the 39 mm filter adapter and the lens hood. The lens hood comes in two versions—one with a diameter that fits directly onto the lens, and an oversized one that allows you to apply a bit of adhesive velvet on the inside so the fit is smoother and more gentle on the camera lens. I’ve included a link to the adhesive velvet I purchased below.

Once installed, the lens hood does not interfere with the viewfinder at all and causes no vignetting.
 

🖨️ As for printing recommendations, it’s best to use the smallest layer height possible (I used 0.12 mm) to ensure the thread fits properly. I also apply fuzzy skin on the inside of the lens hood to avoid reflections. Additionally, I use seam painting to achieve a perfect fit and clean aesthetics. All parts can be printed without supports.

I recommend to print in a silver Silk PLA to get a OEM look.
I’ve included a .3mf file for the Elegoo Centauri Carbon with the three pieces and all the necessary parameters.
