Greetings, fellow makers!

As a newcomer to the world of 3D printing and a proud new owner of the Centauri Carbon, I quickly noticed an issue: the side-mounted spools  were rubbing against the printer, leaving behind wear marks and residue. Naturally, I asked myself—what’s a maker to do?

Introducing The Centurion Carbon Spool Armor: a simple yet effective solution designed to shield your printer from spool-induced wear.

This protective guard acts as a barrier between the spools and your machine, preserving the pristine condition of your Centauri Carbon.

This design requires no additional tools for installation. However, due to the tight tolerances, I recommend using a deburring tool (as shown in the reference image) to smooth the inner circle—2 to 3 passes should suffice, though feel free to adjust as needed.

Once prepped, the armor will snap securely around the existing spool holder, sitting flush with your printer.

I hope this accessory proves useful and enhances your printing experience. If you find it helpful, please consider liking, boosting, or sharing—it’s free, after all!

As always, I welcome constructive feedback. And remember:

Pugna non perfecta est!
