The body of Chikusōyō is a pale green, adorned with a deep green leaf atop its head, while a ring of tiny buds lines its neck. Its head is remarkably large compared to the rest of its body, crowned with striking red eyes. Each of its four short legs ends in a single toe equipped with a sharp claw, and it sports a small, delicate tail.
Chikusōyō has a gentle temperament and thrives in the warmth of sunlight. It uses the leaf on its head to sense ambient temperature and humidity, instinctively seeking out cozy, sun-drenched spots. Though it may occasionally wave its leaf in a threatening gesture to ward off rivals, the sweet fragrance that wafts from its leaves often has the surprising effect of calming both parties, bringing them into a state of peaceful harmony.
