A Bagua Pendant
The Bagua is, in fact, one of the earliest written symbolic systems. In Chinese culture, much like the concepts of Yin and Yang and the Five Elements, it serves as a tool for analyzing and predicting the relationships between various phenomena across space and time. Each of the eight trigrams represents specific entities or forces: Qian stands for Heaven, Kun stands for Earth, Xun represents Wind, Zhen represents Thunder, Kan represents Water, Li represents Fire, Gen represents Mountain, and Dui represents Lake.
