86‑box panel with switch and socket platform bracket—a simple, no-frills platform designed primarily to hold lightweight models that don’t require high structural strength. As such, it doesn’t feature any reinforcing ribs—keeping the design sleek and minimal. We used PLA, with a default infill density of 15%, which didn’t significantly impact print quality even when printing in motion mode. If greater strength is needed, you can increase the infill percentage or consider printing the platform with its base surface facing downward.

Advantages:

1. Utilizes the space around switches to store small items—like those little dummy13 figurines you never quite know where to put at home, or my favorite miniature potted plants.

2. The switch and socket boxes themselves provide secure screw‑based mounting, allowing you to install the unit directly onto the wall without needing additional hardware—and protecting a wide variety of wall surfaces.

Installation Tips:

After selecting the ideal location, cut an opening at the bottom of the panel. Once installed, secure it with screws; you can also seal the opening with adhesive if desired—but personally, I don’t think it’s necessary, since the screws are what ultimately bear the load.

This is the fifth model I’ve created while learning 3D modeling.
