Protect your car from theft with this Safe Key enclosure.

This protects your keyless entry equipped car from theft. The thieves are using an amplifying device that receives the radio signal from your key fob, sending it on to a second thief at your car who can then unlock it, start it and drive off.

When your car remote fob is in this Safe Key enclosure, the bad guys can’t intercept the signal, unlock your car and drive away.

The Safe Key enclosure is based on the Faraday cage principle which blocks radio signals.

The hinged outer shell is completely print in place, no assembly of the outer is required.

Print settings I used:

Print the outer with 3 walls, this makes the latch stronger.

Any filament would be suitable, mine is PLA silk (regular PLA would probably make the catch stronger) outer shell and regular PLA for inner shells and lock rings

No brims

No supports

You need to print:

-one outer shell

-one inner shell lid

-one inner shell base

-two lock rings

You will need:

Aluminium foil 130x160mm to cover the inner shell base

Aluminium foil 140x170mm to cover the inner shell lid
