I’m excited to showcase my latest 3D printing project: a Spartan action figure inspired by Master Chief. Note Glue is needed for assembly.

Model Details:

• Note: I added a thin layer of hair spray to each bed to help with adhesion. Here is the one I use: Hair Spray
• Material Recommendations:
  • Frame: I recommend using PETG material for the frame, as it provides better durability and flexibility, which is ideal for articulated figures. Amazon Link
  • Armor: Any color and material would work for the armor pieces, allowing for full customization based on your preferences. I used Green PolyTerra: Amazon Link
  • Helmet Shield: You can use silk PLA for the Face shield it looks great, I used this one: Amazon Link

Key Features:

• Multiple Versions: There are two versions of both the chest and helmets (A and B), providing options for customization.
• Printing Details: The material for each part is indicated in the names of the plates, which makes it easier to select the right material for each component.

Printing Process:

• Printer: Bambu Lab X1C
• Filament: PETG for the frame, any preferred PLA or material for the armor.
• Assembly: Follow Jwoong's tutorial for a smooth assembly process, ensuring that the articulated joints fit perfectly and provide a great range of motion.
• I used tree support since most parts have overhangs, you may be able to print without maybe with a different arrangement. There was some post processing after printing to remove all supports.

This Spartan figure was a fantastic challenge, combining articulation and intricate detail. The multiple versions of helmets and chest plates make it customizable, and I’m very pleased with how it turned out.
