Introduction to the Geometric-Style Integrated Toothbrush and Mouthwash Cup Holder

Design of Shape and Structure

Geometric Main Body Design

Main Cup Body: A multifaceted, faceted hexagonal frustum design departs from conventional cylindrical shapes. The cup body is assembled from multiple angled facets into an octagonal or hexagonal prismatic form, with three-dimensional folded surfaces creating dramatic light-and-shadow effects and angular edges—exuding a modern, understated industrial geometric aesthetic that sets it apart from ordinary plastic mouthwash cups. The interior cavity serves as the cup’s main chamber, allowing direct filling with water for brushing and rinsing.

On the side, a continuous cylindrical section features two upper and lower connecting cantilevers that extend vertically into a storage compartment, seamlessly integrated with the main cup in a single-piece construction without any visible seams. This cylindrical space is specially designed to hold long, slender toiletries such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, and razors.

The suspended, open‑work structure leaves a gap between the two chambers, enabling bottom ventilation and drainage. Residual moisture from washing won’t accumulate in crevices and lead to mold growth.

3D Printing Process & Material Texture

Material: Metal‑textured PLA (silver‑aluminum color) printed via FDM layer‑by‑layer additive manufacturing. The filament itself carries a subtle horizontal metal‑brushed texture, giving the finished piece a surface that closely resembles brushed stainless steel or aluminum alloy—with a matte silver‑gray metallic finish—eliminating the need for electroplating or painting. The outer wall retains faint traces of the printing layers, offering a unique textural detail exclusive to 3D printing.

The entire piece—including the main cup, connecting bracket, and side cylinder—is produced in one seamless print, with no joints or adhesive bonding. This results in a robust, waterproof, and moisture‑resistant structure, offering greater design freedom compared to injection‑molded washbasin cups.

Functional Zoning (Bathroom Counter Storage)

Multi‑faceted Main Compartment: Serves as a daily mouthwash cup, holding water for rinsing, with ample capacity; when not in use, it can be inverted on the counter, its opening suspended to prevent water accumulation.

Cylindrical Secondary Compartment: Provides vertical storage for slender toiletries such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, facial cleansing brushes, razors, and makeup brushes.

Drainage Advantage of the Open‑Work Design: The suspended gaps allow water to drip naturally onto the countertop, keeping the inside of the cup dry and reducing bacterial growth—making it well suited to humid bathroom environments.
