This piece represents my attempt to reconstruct childhood memories—it resembles a bamboo dragonfly, yet goes far beyond a mere nostalgic reimagining of a childhood toy. I envision it as a “silent aircraft,” quietly gathering the power needed for takeoff while remaining motionless.

The main body is a sleek, white cubic base, symbolizing the “starting point” or “core driving force”; the spiraling armatures extending from either side evoke both the blades of a bamboo dragonfly and the rhythmic cadence of mechanical gears; and those floating circular rings at the top are the “energy aura” I’ve added—suggesting that once it begins to spin, it could slice through the air and carry its wearer soaring into the clouds.
