IoT Temperature and Humidity Sensor

  1. Source of Inspiration This project addresses DIY innovation and environmental monitoring needs by designing a compact, wireless temperature and humidity data acquisition device. It can collect real-time environmental temperature and humidity readings and transmit them over a wireless network, making it suitable for indoor small-space monitoring and hands-on training in science and technology projects.

     

  2. Structural Design The housing is 3D-printed with a modular design, assembled using four screws. The enclosure features pre-cut openings for the temperature/humidity sensor module and the ESP01S Wi‑Fi board, while an internal compartment accommodates a 14500 battery. A side-mounted rocker switch provides convenient power control, and the transparent structure allows users to easily inspect the internal component layout.

     

  3. Functional Capabilities Equipped with an ESP01S microcontroller, a temperature and humidity sensor module, and a 14500 battery, this device uses a rocker switch to toggle power on/off. It continuously collects ambient temperature and humidity data and leverages the ESP01S to wirelessly transmit the information, enabling integration with IoT platforms for remote access and viewing of environmental parameters.
