When using a 6 mm diameter magnet with a thickness of 3 mm, overhangs may occur at the slider‑cover joint. To address this, adjust the scraper to a flat setting so the slider can be installed smoothly.
For mounting the magnet, use hot glue or another adhesive. The most commonly used 8 mm steel ball is only marginally compatible with an 8.5 mm opening; however, it may cause severe jamming.
The smoother the ball, the easier it will slide out. Rusty balls are more difficult to feed, and if a ball gets stuck, simply give the mechanism a gentle shake.
