Yin-Yang Double Fish – Support-Free Printing

This model draws its inspiration from the Taiji Diagram, often hailed as “China’s foremost symbolic image.” From the ornate beams and pillars of the Great Hall of the Confucius Temple to the iconic landmarks of Laozi’s Louguantai, Sanmao Palace, and Baiyun Guan—right down to the robes worn by Daoist priests and the divination stalls of fortune-tellers—the Taiji Diagram appears prominently on each. Widely recognized for its distinctive design, the Taiji Diagram features two interwoven fish representing yin and yang, which is why it is commonly referred to as the “Yin-Yang Fish Taiji Diagram.”
This model brings the dual fish of the Taiji Diagram into three dimensions and is crafted as a rotatable assembly. It includes a loop for hanging, is printed using PLA filament, and requires variable layer height settings during printing. Assembly involves the use of adhesive to secure the components in place.
The images displayed here are rendered in shades of gray and white—though they should actually be black and white. Since I don’t currently have any black filament available, I’ve used gray as a substitute; for the best results, we recommend using black filament when you print this model.
