Hollow‑cup motor mini fan with built-in battery and controller, 2.0 structure

I. Design Inspiration

Based on an optimized upgrade of the first-generation speed‑controlled fan, this model adopts an integrated base design specifically tailored for hollow‑cup motors. It combines desktop cooling functionality with educational DIY features, offering a more compact structure, built-in battery and control module to enhance portability and integration, along with side ventilation holes.

II. 3D Printing Process

The housing, protective mesh, and base are printed using PLA filament. The protective mesh features a spoked, openwork design without large overhanging curved surfaces. The base is a monolithic cavity that accommodates the battery compartment and the control board mounting area, with a wall thickness of 2 mm and a 0.1 mm assembly clearance at joints for easy assembly.

III. Structure and Function

The base houses a 14500 lithium battery and a speed‑control circuit board, with provision for a status indicator light hole on the side. A rotary knob allows stepless speed adjustment. The protective mesh shields the fan blades, resulting in a compact finished product.
