This is a 3D-printed, clamp-on bedside storage rack specifically designed for dormitory bunk beds with metal frame structures. It was inspired by the common pain points of lacking storage space on the bed and having no secure place to put small items like smartphones and eyeglasses—items that often get knocked off or lost. The main body of the design consists of a rotating clamping mechanism at the top and a compartmentalized tray at the bottom; by turning the knurled knob with a non-slip texture, the rack can be securely fastened to the bed frame’s crossbar. For 3D printing, we recommend using PLA or PETG filament and enabling support structures throughout the print to stabilize any overhanging parts of the clamping assembly. A layer height of 0.2 mm and an infill density of 15%–20% are recommended.
