The worm gear core consists of three main components: the worm, the worm wheel, and the sprocket. It is commonly used in mechanical systems that require a high reduction ratio, compact installation space, or self-locking capability. This visual demonstration clearly illustrates the spatial meshing relationship between the worm and the worm wheel at a 90-degree intersecting axis, thereby resolving abstract geometric challenges and helping students grasp the principle of “axial-to-circumferential” transmission direction change—thus overcoming the limitations of traditional planar teaching aids.
