The Cat Hermit is an elderly feline, whose advanced age speaks to a lifetime steeped in wisdom. Dressed in a flowing cloak, he stands atop a snow‑covered mountain path, head bowed in deep contemplation. The lamp in his right hand symbolizes truth; within its glow lies a radiant six-pointed star—the Seal of Solomon—its faint light representing the subconscious mind. Though the lamp’s illumination may seem meager against the vast, desolate expanse of a dark, snow‑filled night, to the old cat it shines as both a beacon of truth and a source of hope. The lamp does not illuminate the world directly before him, reminding us that we should not fixate solely on distant dreams while overlooking the truths that lie close at hand.

The staff in the Hermit’s hand bears a striking resemblance to the wooden club playfully wielded by the Fool, the ceremonial wand used by the Magician to bridge heaven and earth, or the spear of victory held by the Chariot—but here, after passing through stages of ignorance, fervent passion, and worldly abundance, it has become utterly ordinary. This mirrors the timeless Chinese adage, “Return to simplicity and rediscover one’s true nature.” The Hermit dwells in solitary stillness, reflecting on his past and following the guiding light of truth—a reminder of the arduous yet humble journey toward enlightenment. It suggests that only by embracing an open heart, humbly examining our inner selves through constant self‑reflection, can we ultimately attain genuine fulfillment.

The Hermit card calls upon you to step out into the world, take a calculated risk, leave behind the familiar and mundane—and pursue what truly resonates with your soul. Because the lantern’s light only reaches a limited distance, no one can guarantee that this path will lead to success. The Hermit invites us to pause and take a fleeting, inward glance at the world around us. It is also a card that signifies inner achievement—a journey best undertaken alone, where one must navigate life’s challenges with quiet resolve and unwavering integrity.

For optimal results, we recommend using a 0.2 mm nozzle; however, a 0.4 mm nozzle will also produce acceptable prints—as illustrated in the image below.

Recommended Filament Usage:
If printing with an Ams machine, simply proceed with standard settings. For non-Ams printers,

Begin printing in black.

Switch to red for Layer 10.

Change to sunshine yellow for Layer 19.

Finally, print Layer 27 in white.
