During winter, 3D printers are prone to warping and edge lifting. To address this issue, I designed a cat house enclosure with dimensions of 60x60x60 cm—perfect for sealing both A1 and KE printers. Recently, a fellow user asked about the door panel files, so I’ve put together a revised version and uploaded it here. Since I primarily use an A1 printer, the KE model is slightly smaller in size. I adjusted the model’s dimensions to accommodate printing on a 220x220 build plate and reinforced the joints for added strength. When assembling, it’s best to apply a small amount of glue—either 5800 or 502—around the joint areas. Depending on the material used, you can increase the infill percentage to 20–35%; that’s usually sufficient. As for the glass, I didn’t actually use glass—I opted for PET sheets, which I simply adhered to the door frame using double-sided tape, then secured with a few small self-tapping screws. There are six screws on each side of the outer door frame; after assembly, these screws can be fastened into the cabinet sides. The door frame has some flexibility, so when installing, you can first snap one side into the corresponding groove on the door frame, then gently bend the door slightly to fit the other side into place. If you’d like to add door frame stops, you can install a small blocking piece at the bottom—though I’ll upload that as part of the model later if needed. Overall, the enclosure delivers a great user experience. Given that the cat house features four ventilation slots on each side, I also designed additional cover plates and accessories to make the entire enclosure even more convenient to use.
