  • Calcium chloride

When storing consumables in a sealed container and frequently opening the lid to access materials, using a conventional desiccant can be impractical due to its slow drying rate. Opting for quick-drying calcium chloride—affordable yet highly effective in large quantities—is a far more convenient solution.

1. This container is perfectly suited for 250g PETG filaments often given away as lucky bags in livestreams—it’s just the right size.

2. I filled the base compartment with water and left it submerged for a full day and night without any leaks. While we can’t guarantee how your specific consumables will perform, we recommend conducting a water‑filled test before use to ensure proper sealing.

3. After absorbing moisture, calcium chloride will turn into a liquid; to prevent tipping, we suggest placing the desiccant at the bottom of the container. If possible, adding a small amount of modified starch (which turns the liquid into a gel-like consistency) can further enhance stability.
