Mecha Dinosaur Series 1 – Modified Mech Stegosaurus

Gongyu Mecha’s Works:

Bagua Mecha (inspired by the renowned mountains and rivers of each province, including Chaohu Lake, Mount Li, Badaling Pass, Namtso Lake, and more);

Mythical Mecha (based on iconic legendary figures such as Sun Wukong, Yang Jian, and the Ox Demon King);

Shan Hai Jing Series (featuring biological forms, mechanical designs, fighter aircraft, aerial vehicles, warships, armored vehicles, tanks, multi‑functional engineering vehicles, rotating armored engineering vehicles, armored cargo trucks, military armored trains, and much more.);

Chinese Weaponry Series (including siege engines, defensive fortifications, and field artillery);

Mechanical Insect Mecha Series (mechanical and insectoid forms of the Rhinoceros Beetle—both the one‑horned variety and the Great Stag Beetle—as well as other insect-inspired designs…);

Mecha Shan Hai Jing Series (including the Rotating Turtle Mecha…)

This model is a modified version of the first installment in the Mecha Dinosaur Series.

Skeleton Material Recommendations: ASA > ABS > PETG > PLA;

Exterior Armor: Any material works.

Simple to print, easy to assemble, lightweight yet sturdy, highly detailed, quick to put together, resistant to breakage, requiring no support structures during printing—and no glue needed for assembly!

Note: 1. If the parts are too tight to fit by hand, simply print the included tool hammer and gently tap the connectors into place.

        2. To prevent print failures, it’s best to apply adhesive or a release spray to the print bed—most issues with “chopped” prints stem from an overly smooth build plate.

Prints require no supports (though you can add a skirt to the base plate if it’s not sufficiently adhesive), and assembly doesn’t call for glue or hardware—just a firm press or a gentle tap with a small hammer if parts feel a bit snug. This is an incredibly convenient Chinese-style assembly model!

Assembly Guide:

To ensure smooth, precise joint movement while maintaining structural integrity, tolerances have been kept relatively tight—assembly may take a bit of effort, but once complete, you’ll be rewarded with a model that boasts exceptional articulation. You can pose it in virtually any position you can imagine, and its joints are built to last.

Torso

Note: Be sure to install the parts according to the red arrows shown in the diagram above—each connector is clearly marked with corresponding symbols: 丨, 丨丨, and 丨丨丨.

When the torso is properly assembled, you’ll hear a satisfying “click” sound. If the parts don’t quite fit, simply align the outer shell of another torso and give it a gentle tap to secure it in place.

The limbs follow the same assembly process: the front legs and rear legs are identical, with elbow joints aligned at a perfect right angle.
