Previously purchased filaments from other brands had connector interfaces that didn’t match the printer’s nozzle bore size, making direct attachment impossible.

After measuring the dimensions, I 3D‑printed a custom adapter. This adapter was specifically designed to fit the JAYO filament spool’s bore size—and after two rounds of test prints and fine‑tuning, the results were significantly better this time.

Notes:

1. When loading filament, pay close attention to which filament spool you’re using and ensure you align the filament feed direction correctly.

2. If the connector feels too tight when separating it from the filament spool, simply insert a small spacer and gently tap it out—this tight fit is actually intentional, as it helps increase friction for more reliable filament feeding.

3. The filament spool on JAYO printers features an asymmetric bore: one end is slightly larger than the other. When installing the adapter, take your time to test the fit and carefully determine the correct orientation for the filament feed direction.

4. Once installed, be sure to adjust the filament settings in the printer’s firmware to match the specific parameters for the filament being used.
