This pair of earrings draws inspiration from the mythical creature “Huan” described in the “Classic of Mountains and Seas: Western Mountains Chapter,” faithfully recreating its extraordinary appearance as depicted in the myth—“shaped like a civet, with one eye and three tails.” According to legend, Huan roams the Yiwang Mountains and is said to emit a hundred different sounds, making it an exceptionally spirited being in ancient mythology.

In the design, the main body takes the form of a graceful three-tailed auspicious beast, with a soft yet lively fox-like silhouette. The eyes and tail tips are inlaid with iridescent opals that shimmer and shift with the light, perfectly capturing the creature’s ethereal vitality and its legendary ability to “resonate throughout the land.” The outer frame features an openwork pattern of scrolling vine and cloud motifs, evoking the gentle embrace of light clouds and accentuating the beast’s flowing, airy posture. The overall piece replicates the exquisite craftsmanship of traditional pierced carving, distilling the imaginative imagery of the mythical creature from the “Classic of Mountains and Seas” into a compact form while interpreting the fantastical aesthetics of ancient mythology through a contemporary design language.

② You can customize the interior with gemstones according to your preference; however, you will need to purchase an additional earring post separately. I printed this at a layer height of 0.08 mm using PETG filament, with colors of your choice.
③ If you wish to print smaller-sized earrings, we recommend switching to a 0.02-mm nozzle and setting the lowest possible layer height for maximum detail. Alternatively, you can scale up the model to create pendants, luggage tags, or other decorative items—there are countless potential applications.
④ The model includes预留 areas for adhesive curing; simply apply UV glue mixed with gold powder and allow it to harden. You can also customize the interior with your own preferred gemstones, creating a truly one-of-a-kind piece tailored just for you.
⑤ Since I dislike removing supports, I opted for flat printing. If you desire a more three-dimensional effect, simply print two separate parts and bond them together.
