3D-Printed Anti-Collision Door Stopper
I. Structural and Functional Design
This door stopper features a double-sloped wedge-shaped design, with parallel anti-slip ridges on both the top and bottom contact surfaces to increase friction against the floor and the bottom of the door leaf. A central circular hole allows for easy rope threading, enabling convenient lifting, moving, hanging, and storage. The wedge-shaped inclined surface can be wedged beneath the door gap; the oblique clamping force presses firmly against the door panel, securely holding the door in place to prevent it from swinging open or closing unexpectedly due to wind, while also cushioning the impact when the door closes—providing collision protection, noise reduction, and preventing the door from hitting the wall. The overall compact form makes it highly flexible for placement and repositioning.
II. 3D Printing Process Features
One-Piece Integrated Structure: The entire wedge body, including the anti-slip patterns and the central hanging hole, is fabricated in a single FDM printing process, eliminating seams and adhesive joints for enhanced structural integrity. PETG filament, which balances hardness and toughness, is preferred for superior load-bearing and compression resistance, ensuring durability even under frequent door‑pressing. PLA material is also an option, and custom color schemes can be tailored as needed.
Precise Anti-Slip Pattern Formation: Surface ridges are directly modeled and printed, removing the need for post‑printing adhesive anti‑slip pads; the patterns are wear‑resistant and unlikely to peel off. Rounded corners at the edges prevent scratching floors or door frame finishes.
Flexible Parameter Customization: Users can adjust the wedge height to suit different door gaps, modify the density of anti-slip ridges, tweak the size of the hanging hole, or increase the overall thickness to enhance load capacity, making it compatible with wooden doors, glass doors, and various indoor door types.
III. Usage Advantages
Dual Functionality: It can both lock the door in place to prevent wind‑induced opening and cushion impacts during closure, reducing door‑closing noise and protecting door handles and walls from knocks.
Stable Anti-Slip Performance: Double-sided anti-slip patterns maximize friction, minimizing slipping or shifting during daily use or ventilation. The central hole accommodates a hanging cord, allowing for neat storage when not in use without occupying desk or floor space.
Lightweight and Easy to Maintain: With its relatively light weight, it’s simple for women and seniors to move around. Dust on the surface can be wiped clean, and unlike metal door stops, it won’t rust or scratch wood floors or tiles.
Wide Environmental Adaptability: Users can tailor hardness and dimensions to suit specific settings, making it suitable for homes, dormitories, offices, and more.
IV. Applicable Scenarios
Home bedrooms and bathrooms: Keeps doors securely open during ventilation, preventing repeated swinging.
Dormitories and offices: Prevents doors from slamming shut due to strong winds, reducing impact noise.
Temporary door blocking: Helps protect children’s fingers from being pinched by accidentally closed doors, providing basic safety protection.
Warehouses and small shops: Provides a simple way to hold doors open at a fixed angle.
