I recently bought a new phone—the iQOO Z11 Turbo. It feels quite nice in the hand, with a chunky, brick-like vibe reminiscent of the old iPhone 4. Thanks to its sleek design, the phone case is also pretty easy to decorate.
As it happens, color‑blending techniques are really popular right now, so I gave it a try and the results were decent. For such a small image, a 0.4 mm nozzle seems sufficient; if you want finer details, consider switching to a 0.2 mm nozzle.
For PETG, I used Kynix’s Sea Green and Dajian’s Skin Tone. As for PLA, I chose Topz RBYW (white–red–yellow–blue)—note that this is blue, not cobalt blue (on PDD, the blue appears to be labeled as “deep blue”).
So far, I’ve experimented with color blending on small areas; next, I plan to explore how to handle irregularly shaped regions.
Note: The test dimensions were based on PETG material. If you’re printing with PLA, you’ll need to slightly scale down the model. Given the differences in material shrinkage rates, if you intend to print a color‑blended version, first print a standard version to fine-tune the dimensions, then proceed with the color‑blended version to avoid unnecessary waste.
