Remote Control Joystick – ESP32

1. Structural Design All components of the joystick housing are 3D-printed. The overall design features an ergonomically shaped grip for comfortable handling. The front panel includes pre‑drilled mounting holes to securely attach two PS2 joystick modules, the ESP32 development board, an OLED display, and push‑buttons/rotary knobs. Inside the housing, a 14500 lithium battery is housed, with the entire assembly fastened using screws for a neat layout. The exterior is engraved with a custom logo.

   

   

2. Hardware Components The main controller utilizes an ESP‑32 development board, interfaced with two PS2 joystick modules that output directional signals. An OLED screen provides real-time displays of battery level and communication status. Rotary knobs and function buttons allow users to switch between operating modes. A standalone 14500 lithium battery supplies power independently, eliminating the need for external power sources and enabling wireless operation.

   

3. Functions and Applications Leveraging the ESP‑32’s Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth capabilities, this device can transmit control commands to remotely operate small vehicles, robotic arms, pan‑tilt units, and other equipment. The OLED display enables real-time monitoring of device status. It is ideal for makers learning ESP32 programming, wireless communication, and joystick signal acquisition, and can be used in robotics training sessions or science and innovation competitions.
