The phoenix-wing helmet likely began to appear gradually during the Five Dynasties period. Therefore, many historical dramas set in the Tang Dynasty are historically inaccurate.

During the Ming Dynasty, the phoenix-wing helmet was worn by multiple military branches and social classes; it was eventually abandoned during the Qing Dynasty.

 

However, the phoenix-wing helmet is arguably the most stylish and easiest-to-create type of ancient armor helmet.

 

For TPU printing, if the head spacing is properly calculated, PLA printing can also be used.
