Hello everyone! This is the “Dopamine Flip Calendar” I designed for myself—a small 3D-printed gadget that uses color and interactivity to brighten each day.

The calendar features a reversible, modular design, with each face freely combinable. Like playing with building blocks, you can effortlessly switch between date, day of the week, season, and a short “motivational quote.” I deliberately chose vibrant, candy-like hues—every flip feels like releasing a little “dopamine,” turning even the most mundane routine into something unexpectedly fun thanks to a splash of sunny yellow or bold azure.

Four distinct sections each hold a thoughtful touch:

Top left: “Monthly Rotation”—spring, summer, autumn, winter, unfolding with the passage of time;

Top right: “Today’s Number”—turning over a new page every day feels like high-fiving yourself;

Bottom left: “Weekday Marker”—use more playful, eye-catching colors to celebrate the weekend;

Bottom right: “One-Line Motivation”—such as “Say No to Anxiety” or “Stay Curious”—a gentle reminder to yourself.

The entire calendar rests on a white base, keeping the design clean while letting the colors truly stand out. After countless prototypes, I finally achieved a crisp, smooth flipping experience. It’s more than just a tool—it’s a little rainbow on your desk. Spending just a few seconds each day flipping it feels like hitting a refresh button for your mood.
