Design Philosophy

This woodworking hand tool—ink-drawing gauge—is designed to be brightly colored, multifunctional, compact, and portable, enabling carpenters and hobbyists to easily achieve precise layout lines. The entire device consists of several detachable modular components, making it easy to carry and assemble.

Printing Recommendations

We recommend using PLA or ABS filament to ensure structural stability. A layer height of 0.2 mm and a infill density of 20% are suggested to strike a balance between print accuracy and printing time.

Assembly Instructions

After printing, once the parts are assembled, you will need a length of cotton thread, a thin nail or pin, and some cotton or sponge. Thread the cord through the two holes in the ink reservoir: loop one end around the spool, and secure the other end in the hole on the line-marking device’s holder. Insert the pin or thin nail into the axial hole, then pack cotton into the ink reservoir and load the ink. The tool is now ready for use. When not in use, place the fixing pin on the base; if the fixation is unstable, insert a piece of rubber or sponge into the base to provide a more secure hold for the pin.
