This piece is my tangible expression of “opening and release.” The white padlock and red key may appear simple, yet they embody the ritualistic essence of “unlocking”—the lock body is sleek and streamlined, the key’s design is striking, and the bold red-and-white contrast makes the visual impact immediate and unmistakable.

During creation, I deliberately preserved the purity of the structure: the lock body is solid and stable, the key features smooth, flowing lines, and its teeth engage with precise precision; with a gentle turn, the bolt effortlessly pops open—no superfluous ornamentation, just a harmonious balance of function and aesthetic appeal. Placed on a cutting mat, it resembles both an unfinished puzzle and a knot in the heart that is always ready to be “untied.”

I hope it serves not merely as a model, but as a kind of “psychological switch”: when you’re under pressure or caught in indecision, simply turning the key yourself and hearing that crisp “click” can help release the tension in your emotions.
