  • Smoke Filtration

Based on the existing parts in hand, I created a 3D model for a fan bracket designed to filter welding fumes. All wiring is secured via screw‑clamped connections—no soldering required; simply snap the corresponding components into place within the model.

The sponge used was leftover 5mm-thick foam from sealing machine boxes—I cut it into 8cm × 8cm pieces. While this isn’t specialized activated carbon smoke‑absorbing foam, the dedicated activated carbon models available on Taobao all come in 10mm thickness, which necessitated adjustments to the design.

The silent fan didn’t generate sufficient suction, so I upgraded to a high‑airflow model—and the results were excellent.

The other components I utilized include:

  1. 12V 808025 Fan

  2. Fan Speed Controller

  3. DC Weldless Female Connector

  4. 2P Male Plug Cable
