  • Ring Tower

This piece represents my pure exploration of “rotation and rhythm.” The red ring-shaped tower is constructed by meticulously stacking concentric circular patterns, with a short central shaft embedded at its core—it is more than just a decorative object; it is like a “stationary spinning top,” waiting to be brought to life through motion.

During the creation process, I deliberately emphasized the layering and rhythmic quality of the spiral patterns: each loop features subtle undulations, causing delicate shifts in light and shadow as the surface catches the illumination, while the vibrant red imbues the work with a sense of poised energy, as if it is on the verge of bursting into motion. Resting on a wooden table, it appears simple at first glance, yet it subtly embodies a delicate balance between mechanics and aesthetics—give it a gentle nudge, and it will begin to spin gracefully, creating ripples of visual interest.

I hope this piece serves not merely as a toy, but as a medium for “dynamic meditation”: in the midst of our busy daily lives, simply pluck it gently with your fingers, watch it spin, pause, then spin again, letting your gaze follow the spiraling red lines and allowing your mind to grow calm and centered. Though it remains silent, its rhythmic rotation weaves the fragments of time into a complete circle.
