• Pen Holder

Hey everyone! I’m the creator of this Flame & Campfire–themed 3D‑printed pen holder~ The inspiration behind it is actually pretty fun—one evening, as I was gazing at the flickering flames in the fireplace, it suddenly struck me: “What if I could capture that cozy, campfire vibe and turn it into a pen holder? It’d make my desk feel so much more atmospheric—and perfect for storing stationery!” And that’s how this little guy came to life~

Let me break down the clever design details for you:

  • Form Factor: Bringing the “Campfire” to Your Desk: The main body of the pen holder features a flame‑shaped opening, meticulously crafted to mimic the undulating motion of real fire. The base is supported by small, log‑like feet, each etched with intricate annual ring patterns—every “log” feels like a tiny branch propping up a blazing flame. Visually, it’s both lively and subtly evocative of vintage camping aesthetics. This “anthropomorphic + scene‑based” design doesn’t just make the pen holder a functional storage solution—it transforms it into a charming desktop accent: pop a few markers inside, and it’s almost as if stationery has literally “grown” out of the fiery embers, adding a playful, childlike touch to your workspace~
  • Refined 3D Printing Details: I used FDM printing technology, opting for PLA—a safe, eco‑friendly material with vibrant color saturation. The edges of the flame‑shaped opening were carefully rounded off, ensuring a smooth, non‑abrasive finish that feels great to the touch. The textured detailing on the log‑like support feet was achieved through layered slicing and meticulous carving, with each “log” carefully adjusted in size and spacing to guarantee stability—no matter how full the pen holder gets, it stays firmly upright on your desk. For the fiery red accents, I chose high‑saturation color masterbatches to make the “flames” pop with vivid intensity, while the warm brown tones of the wooden logs create a striking contrast that packs a visual punch~
