Shanhai Jing Mecha Series No. 17 – “Taotie”-Style Wheeled Shield-and-Cannon Battle Tank (Remastered Edition)

This series features mecha designs inspired by mythical creatures from the Shanhai Jing. In addition, we have the Bagua Mecha—each model based on the renowned mountains and rivers of China’s provinces, such as Chaohu Lake, Mount Lishan, Badaling Pass, and Namtso Lake—and the Mythical Mecha, which draw their inspiration from legendary figures like Sun Wukong, Yang Jian, and the Ox Demon King.

No supports are required for printing (though if your build plate isn’t adhesive, you can easily add a skirt to improve adhesion). Assembly requires no glue or hardware—just apply firm pressure when fitting parts together, or gently tap with a small hammer if needed. This is an incredibly convenient Chinese-style assembly model!

Taotie:

A ferocious, gluttonous beast in ancient Chinese mythology—one of the Four Great Demons. It has the body of a sheep with a human face, eyes located beneath its armpits, tiger teeth and human claws, and a cry that sounds like a baby’s wail. Taotie symbolizes greed and is often used to describe individuals who are excessively gluttonous or utterly greedy.

On Mount Gouwu, there is an abundance of jade above and copper below. There is a beast there whose form resembles a sheep with a human face; its eyes are positioned beneath its armpits, it has tiger teeth and human claws, and its voice sounds like that of an infant. Design Concept:

A sheep’s head serves as the shield, sheep horns double as cannons, laser eyes adorn the sides, and the rear is adorned with intricate Taotie motifs.
