Pain point:
The hole in my kitchen fruit-knife holder is too large, so smaller knives always get stuck, making them very inconvenient to grab.

Inspiration:
Lately, I’ve been hooked on “Monster Hunter Rise,” and at crucial moments, my mischievous Elgado cat drives me absolutely crazy—refusing to heal me or luring monsters onto me, which often leaves me stranded. Every time a mission ends in failure, I want to “cut” it with my knife, but there’s nothing I can do.

Solution:
So I decided to create this “Elgado Knife Holder Diameter Adapter”—it not only perfectly solves the problem of storing small knives but also channels my frustration with Elgado into a creative design. I 3D-printed it as an integral part of the knife holder, so every time I use my knife, I can “cut” it metaphorically to vent my anger! The base of the model requires support structures; you can print these using the same material, since once installed, the bottom will be completely hidden by the knife holder and won’t be visible anyway, so the quality of the base supports isn’t critical.

Result:
Now inserting and removing knives is incredibly smooth, and each time I glance at it, it feels like a gentle reminder: don’t rely on that cat anymore—stop depending on it!
