The design of this mask draws inspiration from the famous line in Wen Tingyun’s “Pusa Man”: **“Lazily rising to paint her delicate eyebrows, she lingers over her makeup and grooming.”** It captures the timeless moment when a classical lady rises in the morning to attend to her beauty, her brows and eyes exuding both languid charm and refined elegance.
Makeup Imagery: Inspired by the traditional court lady’s makeup, the mask features a pristine white base that mimics the smooth, jade-like complexion, complemented by bold red lips and floral ornaments on the forehead—key elements that epitomize the classic aesthetic and evoke the graceful artistry of “grooming.”
Underlying Aura: The name “Ning Zhuang” (literally “Solidified Makeup”) conveys both the frozen, timeless quality of the makeup itself and the subtle, reserved elegance of a classical beauty—still as a virgin yet with eyes full of tender emotion. The overall style leans toward a cool, refined sophistication, infused with a delicate, almost imperceptible softness.
Formal Reference: The mask’s silhouette is inspired by traditional opera masks and accessories from Hanfu, with soft, flowing lines that gently conform to the face. It is perfectly suited for period-style outfits, cosplay, and other settings, while also retaining the modern, tactile quality inherent in 3D-printed models.
